T.S. did. I know there wasnt over 6 of them. I would not have believed it if I didnt see it.
I rememeber Ervinton having 5 in a band a few years back. They sounded better than most large bands, PV ect.
When I was in high school band, we made a rule of never playing when our side had the ball. We watched it very carefully, and we'd pay attention to when a new play was about to begin.
And when I was in fifth grade I recall Haysi had a marching band of 12. We called them the dirty dozen. They competed at all the same competitions we were in.
I have also seen bands so small (fewer than a dozen), in Kentucky, that they didn't have a drum major - they needed everyone for playing power.
At the Wise/Pound game near the end of the game I thought it was funny that our own band was playing the Final Countdown song, I always thought that would be a song to play when you are winning the game. ahh they just have limited resources and limited songs bands that size can play well.
We just have to forgive them
who is director at Pound now elpn?
I've met the guy but have forgotten his name. He's a young fella, from upstate New York.
i remember seeing pounds band with only 5 or 6 people in it....haha and they really stood out because they all had tye dye shirts on...
The Pound Band is nothing like it was back when I was in it. We had around 60 kids. Pound has went through rough days since then. I hate to see that our band has got so small after once being really big and on the competitive side. I think there needs to be some kind of different face someone that will help build it back up.
